Size / grading: Diameter size codes (EU / UNECE): 0: 92–110 mm; 1: 87–100; 2: 84–96; 3: 81–92; 4: 77–88; 5: 73–84; 6: 70–80; 7: 67–76; 8: 64–73; 9: 62–70; 10: 60–68; 11: 58–66; 12: 56–63; 13: 53–60 mm. Minimum diameter 53 mm; size and class are agreed per shipment.
Quality indicators: EU minimum juice content: navel group 33%, blood oranges 30%, other varieties 35%; minimum sugar/acid ratio 6.5:1. Agree Brix, colour, firmness and acidity per lot.
Packaging / net weight: Cartons: 10 / 15 kg. Other formats and packing to customer requirements are agreed individually.
Storage / transport: Storage reference: +3…+8°C and 90–95% relative humidity. Blood oranges can show chilling injury below +8°C. Final settings depend on variety, maturity and route.
